Thank you to all the women who came to our first Women's Link event. It was such a pleasure to see all your faces bright and early this morning.
Technical difficulties notwithstanding, it seemed like we were all challenged by something Nancy Leigh DeMoss shared. I know I'm still processing her teachings on Esther about the things of earth that we can see versus the unseen things of God's kingdom. I, for one, tend to dwell too much on what's right in front of me. I think we heard her quote John Piper saying, “In every situation, God is always doing a thousand different things that you cannot see and you do not know" in both of the messages we heard this morning (or at least it applied to both quite well). Hmmm... is God trying to say something there?
I'm also looking forward to getting the "makeover" emails for the next 30 days. I feel like I could use the ongoing challenge/encouragement to live differently in light of what I've learned -- to live according to God's plan and design for me as a woman.
